Microsoft using GPL code...

April 6, 2007 at 1:16 p.m. Tagged as: Blog, Programming, Javascript, SmoothGallery

Yesterday, someone pointed me to a microsoft.com url:
The home page for Microsoft Expression Engine

Take a close look at this page. Do you see anything unusual?
I’ll give you a clue. This is a line that can be found in their html code:
<script src=”/Expression/scripts/jd.gallery.js” type=“text/javascript”> </script>

… They are using JonDesign’s SmoothGallery .

It wouldn’t be news, if Microsoft wasn’t bad mouthing GPL everywhere.
Since Smooth Gallery is licensed under GPL, it adds an interesting twist.
